Wood Classics
Wood Classics’ extensive range of teak patio furniture is universally appealing, aiming to provide an outdoor teak furniture collection that significantly enhances the exterior spaces of all fine homes and gardens.

Wood Advantages

With time, the warm hues of new wood will weather and take on the natural tones of the outdoors integrating the furniture with its surrounding environment. For example, Honey turns fawn grey...

... kind of like my hair, come to think of it, but far more gracefully.

When you sit in a wood chair on a hot summer day, or on a cold winter night around your fire pit, you won’t jump out like a grasshopper saying it’s too hot or too cold. Instead you’ll snuggle right in.

Wood outdoor furniture is built solid and sturdy, so it tends not to be easily blown about in storms. However, if you live in hurricane and tornado country like we do, it’s best to listen to the Weather Channel and find shelter for your outdoor furniture, as well as yourself, when there are storm warnings.

Finally, if you’re like us and take your garden seriously, you might consider your garden furniture a long-term purchase. Tropical woods last 50 to 80 years and North American woods go 10 to 25 years.

When it comes to teak furniture, be sure you understand what kind you’re buying. If it’s much less expensive than other teak furniture on the market, chances are it’s made from thin cuts of wood that won’t last nearly as long as you’d expect.

Wood Disadvantages

It’s heavy, so you won’t want to haul your wood deck patio furniture from place to place looking for the best view. And it’s bulky, so if you have to store it, you’d better think about your storage space.

And if you paint your furniture to match the color of your geraniums, you’ll be in for a constant repainting job. Which if you like to paint, wouldn’t be that bad – just warning you.

Wood Care

Some of your North American woods will require regular application of a preservative. But cleaning will be easy with mild soap and water. Just be sure to always check the manufacturer’s label for care.

Wood Prices

Remember this is a purchase for longevity. Here is a price range for a five piece dining set:
  • Tropical wood sets will run from $1,000 to $4,000 with the lower end, less durable teaks priced at around $300

  • North American wood sets will run from $500 to $2,000
