Mixed Material Advantages

Mixed Material Care

Check your manufacturer’s care tag, but in general:

• Wood, wicker and metal should be handled as we’ve indicated above.



• Canvas or mesh sling materials can be washed with mild soapy water and rinsed with your garden hose.



• Vinyl straps can be cleaned with mild soapy water, rinsed with your hose and then treated with a vinyl protector after they’ve air dried.



• Stone and tile may need a manufacturer’s suggested sealer. Be sure that if your winters include ice or snow, you know whether or not you should cover or store your furniture – water can get in the pores, expand when it turns to ice and crack certain slates and tiles.
