How does it work?

When you sign up for VisionScape’s FREE Landscape Design Consultation, you will receive a phone call from a VisionScape representative to answer any questions you might have and schedule a time for you to meet with a consultant about your project. All meetings will take place over the phone, but you will need email and internet access, so you can get into their system and see your project as it is being designed.

Step 1:

This initial meeting will take about 20 minutes. They will gather basic information like property size or design area size (if you’re not landscaping your entire property), house type, and time frame. You’ll also discuss what elements you may want to include in the project. They will give you a quote for the design of your project at the end of this meeting.

Step 2:

At this point, you’ll decide if you are going to proceed with the landscape design process and pay 25% so they can send someone out to do a field survey and take pictures.

Step 3:

After the survey is completed, VisionScape creates a base map of your property.

Step 4:

Then, the fun begins. You are assigned a Master Designer who will help you create your own personal paradise. You'll meet with your Master Designer several times during the process. We especially like how he or she draws in your ideas right there with you, so you can see the results on your computer screen and you can make changes as you go along.

After the initial meeting with your Master Designer, you’ll pay your next 25% installment, if you wish to proceed to the next step.

During the design process your project will receive attention from an architect, an engineer, a horticulturist, a 3D renderer, and artists as needed. You will get all these services for a fraction of the cost it would take to hire them yourself – plus none of the hassle.

Step 5:

Next, you will get a full set of blueprints, including planting lighting, and irrigation drawings. If you have divided your project into phases, your blueprints will also be divided up so that you and your contractor can easily distinguish between the phases. You'll also receive help finding a reputable contractor in your area, a CAD file to give to an engineer or contractor for permits, a complete materials list, and contractor’s bid sheets.

The third 25% of your design fee will come due when you receive the drawings. You don’t pay the final 25% until all phases of the project are finished.

The VisionScape Website is very informative, but the representative who calls you when you sign up will answer all of your questions. We found that they are very knowledgeable and willing to help, but are not pushy about selling their service.
